Beach Buddies, their Founder Bill Dale and the volunteers they empower, are now famous worldwide for their efforts in keeping the Island’s beaches clean.

Their work was highlighted in a fantastic National Geographic article in January 2020 and their proposal’s have been adopted and rolled-out by UNSECO to 120 Biosphere reserves around the world.

Bill, the founder, continues to push forwards and has really put the Isle of Man and Beach Buddies on the world map for the work they are doing in reclaiming our beaches from waste and plastics.

Sporting Club Isle of Man are proud to partner with Beach Buddies and are donating £1 from every ECOkit purchase to Beach Buddies. ECOkit’s are all a RPET material which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Each RPET top is made from approximately 16 plastic bottles and it is our mission to have our Sporting Club RPET clothing made from the bottles like those collected from our Beaches or the events we run.

As our partnership progresses Sporting Club hopes to use the platform it has through its membership and the teams it owns, to showcase Beach Buddies work, to mobilise our community further and challenge it to engage in behaviours which minimise the negative impact, and create a positive impact, on our natural environment. #Collect #Recycle
